Iran has many great lakes that you cannot even imagine them in your dream. One of them is Ovan lake. This particular lake is located in Alamout region in Qazvin province. The north of the lake is also surrounded by three small villages, namely from east to west: Varbon, Ovan, Zar-abad.

There in the lake, fishes like carp and pike live, but the best one is salmon which tastes great. There is only a river called Ovan that flows into the lake coming from northern mountains in the region. Many tall trees are all around the lake and also the ground is covered with grass. Thanks to all these wonderful beauties and natural potentials, Ovan lake is one of those places that attracts many tourists every year. People living in the villages around the lake can make money through tourism.

For sure a lake like Caspian is not the only lake in Iran. There are many lakes in Iran that are even more beautiful than that. There are many tours available that’ll make any preparation needed and you just have to sign for these kinds of trips.
