What is the main idea of the third paragraph?
Perhaps no single person is more responsible for helping Decorah (a city in the United States) to accept alternative energy models and reduce its collective carbon footprint than Larry Grimstad, and the community holds him in great respect for his efforts. Grimstad invested in Oneota Solar, LLC, and several other local wind and solar projects and played a key role in organizing the Winneshiek Energy District.
Grimstad’s interest in finding and implementing solutions to climate change began in the mid 1990s when he and his wife Diane began reading works by Al Gore and others. After becoming curious about the future of non-renewable energy, they dedicated themselves to research about climate change and global warming. This resulted in some big changes in the way they lived their lives.
For Grimstad, a local bank owner and community leader, addressing climate change never was just a moral obligation. It was a good business. He is certain about his rejection of the argument that environmental and economic successes are at odds with one another. According to Larry Grimstad, “economic growth is going to come from environmental changes. They go together.”
